The leaders or EU Countries are sinking their citizens further and further into debt with these tariffs ... the only hurt their own citizens paying more taxes (hidden as tariffs) to their government. The EU are trying so desperately to save their industries, but don't realise that if they hurt the economic survival of their own people, their industries serve no purpose because their people have no money to buy their products. The EU governments need to rethink their strategies. Get rid of the tariffs.
EU have imposed 50% tariffs on Australian grains ... why? We're not at war with EU.

If they ALLOW their citizens to buy CHEAP products to maintain their Middle Class life style, then they have money to spend. And they'll be spending on Local Commodities that can't be imported ... such as coffee shops, restaurants, entertainment, going for drives and holidays around their own country (and given the land connections with all the other EU Countries, have their citizens drive between borders for holidays). The EU will be vibrant with consumers.
