@RichardHubbuck Says:
Here’s the reality, young man… …Well, you’re a plant, but hey.
…The people on the panel have no clue about money, so don’t listen to them - they live in front of a camera and haven’t a clue.
Uncle Don, the god-king of the fasci, I mean the MAGA party, well what he did, you see, is he cut taxes for the rich people, believing in this fantasy thing called trickle-down economics. There’s a problem with trickle-down economics, though - it does not and has NEVER worked in any economy on the planet. Why? Well, the idea is that the money that the rich people save by not paying as much tax is supposed to be spent by them elsewhere, then those recipients see a greater income, so they spend more and their recipients see a greater income - and so on. Except, it doesn’t work. Why? Because the rich people either don’t spend the difference in their tax cuts, or they put the money in places where no-one except them benefit from it. So, Uncle Donoir made these tax cuts, but actually didn’t have a plan on filling that hole where the taxes should have been. Instead, he spent more money than he should have done, but wormed his way out of it with a thing called quantitative easing. This is a term which basically means he printed more money, but it gets a bit more complicated than that, because that extra money needs to be balanced by something else - and Uncle Duncehead didn’t plan for that, either. And hence the US’s debt ran j to multiples of trillions of dollars. If the pandemic wasn’t enough, then the blind spending truly killed the nation’s purse.
The people around you who say that they had more money in their pocket when Trump was in the chair are either telling porky pies, they’re deluded or they were simply believing what they were being fed by the propaganda machine. And what you also must understand is when people talk about the cost of living crisis - it’s not just the US - just about every country on the planet.
The government doesn’t ‘control’ the price of things. The government (as with any government) have to put in checks and balances so that various sectors and corporations don’t tip the scales one way too much, or let them spill the other way. How do they do that? By levying or cutting taxes.
There is still talk about inflation is still rising, but people don’t understand that inflation occurs months or years after a specific event or set of events. The RATE of inflation is the thing to be looking at, rather than inflation itself, because there will always be inflation. Ask yourself how much a specific candy bar cost 10 years ago and how much it costs today… …That’s what inflation is, in a nutshell.
But thanks, Fox, for loading your show and asking a 15 year old loaded questions.

We pay for 80 percent of what we spend. I guess shouldering 80 percent of a load is too much for some men. Remember when we raised taxes in 91 and 93, then balanced the budget? We're in debt because if weak men who complain that paying 80 percent of our bills is too much for them.

I sugg my niece after her HS graduation party, give 1/2 of her $$ gifts to grads in a poorer community. Since her family votes Democrat, she then is not entitled to all the money people gave her. If she thinks she shld keep it all then vote for Trump.
By the way my niece is going to a college where they have an Airbnb so that they can claim residency to get 1/2 off college while avoiding a northern states state tax where they live.
It’s just typical of what I vote for isn’t good for me.

Ha! Dude brings his own son on to the show so the world can see how stupid both of them really are. Hey out there, learn to read. These idiots aren't teaching you anything. Federal tax revenue as a percentage of GDP has fallen drastically, from over 28% in 2000, to just 16% in 2023. That is waaaaay too close to the 15%, that is considered the bare minimum for a country to barely even sustain itself. Virtually all of that 12% was a direct result of tax cuts that only went to the wealthiest Americans who didn't need any more money, and certainly aren't spending any more money because of it. So yes, we do have a tax revenue problem, because the wealthy and corporations keep paying less and less over time, as they rig the tax system and abuse the tax code.

Wait until he has to go hungry to pay bills and sees the taxes he's paying. Then he'd have a lot more to say. I'm a machinist with over 20 years experience. 20 year old at work was complaining he isn't getting paid enough to move out. Meanwhile that kid is driving a brand new $80k RAM. I just told him I moved out at 17 while washing dishes and walked everywhere until I was 30. Nothing has changed, life is hard

Of course if you are well informed about what the Republicans plan to do on taxes. In the 2025 plan they will cut taxes again for billionaires, those who need it the least. Guess what? They are planning to raise taxes on families making 100k or less on average $2,500 each. Go ahead and vote for your tax cuts if you are a billionaire
