A brilliant collection of documented proof of this cruel policy. It's important that people know about it.

Adolf Hitler said much the same to justify his annexation of the Sudetenland, the rest of Europe allowed him to succeed, and WW2 happened because of that appeasement. If you want to know the real reason behind Russia's invasion of Ukraine, read Alexsander Dugin's book "Geopolitics", or listen to Putin's interview with Tucker Carlson.

Ukraine has no need to provide protection to Russian speaking people within its own country, and Ukraine needs to ban Russification!

Russia was, and is not, in danger. Not as a language or a people.
@annehersey9895 Says:
Just because someone’s mother tongue is different, all Ukraine was doing was making sure that Ukrainian became the language of law and in Schools. If people speak a different language at home, in emails and texts then no one is going to bother them. Also, Russia needs to realize that if Russians choose to live outside Russia then Russia has no control. If the rule’s bothered the person that much then they have the option to move back to Putinland. In California, we have a huge amount of people from Mexico living here and the language they speak at home, in emails and texts is Spanish BUT their kids are taught in schools in English! Does Mexico have the right to invade the US to force the country to change the rules or to annex parts of the US with a large Mexican population? Absolutely not. The people living in Ukraine are no longer Moscows concern or under their jurisdiction.😊

If not for the expansionist and genocidal policies of russia, there would be no need to limit the spread of russian culture.

Typical behaviour of an empire, and russia is one, no matter how shoddy it is.

Ukraine should not train or have any association with buildings that was once used during the Soviet times. These are obviously going to be targeted, don't expect Russia to be sweet and play fair it's not in their nature.
@anthonymorris2276 Says:
Hitler’s excuse for invading Czechoslovakia was to protect the German-speaking population of the Sudetenland. Putin’s excuse for invading Ukraine was to protect the Russian-speaking population of Crimea and the Donbas. In neither case did a majority of such people want to be “protected” by a brutal dictatorship. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
@FuckTheOrcs Says:
How many ethnic Russians across Ukraine were bombed, and how many ethnic Russians were targeted indiscriminately for the sake of protecting the russian-speaking population? How many russian speakers are serving in the armed forces of Ukraine and how many Russian speaking POVs are currently being starved and abused? How many relatives of the Russian citizens were among the human casualties in Ukraine? After 2 years and 6 months of war, how many Russians speakers did Russia manage to protect? At least the president of Ukraine is not a Russian speaker, otherwise Russia would try to protect him as well, right? :) We will never know the numbers, but one thing is sure. Russia truly loves the Russian speakers.

This is all too familiar - the dominant culture trying to wipe out the smaller one by weakening their language. History doesn't look kindly on them.
@chrismichael6048 Says:
Pootler claimed Ukrainians that speaks Russian are ethnically/ nationally Russian and therefore are one people。WTF did he smoked? If such logic is used,does that mean those in former USSR/Warsaw Pact countries are ethnically/nationally Russian if they speaks Russian??
