Exceedingly fortunate to dodge all those r a p e allegations
@Zero-wt7xf Says:
Tax cuts lol... does nothing, it's all smoke and mirrors. They cut one thing but it's already added onto something else.
@politicz1973 Says:
What a bloke with a false sense of superiority and place in the order of things.
@MrJANDO51 Says:
So now he gets a million dollar job and a lifetime pension as well. What a crock of s#*t.
@BT12345-e Says:

@kallidaiviramani5885 Says:
It is time for 'life time' pension and other perks for politicians after leaving Parliament be scrapped. No other worker/employee gets such a privilege. These pollies get fat super contribution, paid by taxayers, and should learn to live with that like everyone else. Small business owners and self-employed pay for their own super as well as contibuting to these Parliament seat-warmers.
@petert24turner71 Says:
I used to call him Shorten Circuit cause he has not been the best.

Another inept fool bites the dust.
@peterturner6497 Says:
Just Go Bill, seriously nobody wants you. Nobody cares and one less narcissist in parliament has to be a good thing for the country. I am not sure what it means to the Australian National University but I doubt if it will be good.
@fdc2023 Says:
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out
@daveevans4260 Says:

Gets a taxpayer funded pension for life Gets a new job and doesn't affect his pension, unlike working Australians Another parasite who never contributed anything to making this country better
@Australianfarmer Says:
ANOTHER USELESS FOOL IN POLITICS, WHATS HE DONE, TELL ME ONE THING THIS WANKA HAS DONE. JACK SHIT.
@Abcdefg-xl8te Says:
One of the great Labor flogs.
@johnwallis6850 Says:
I'll bet he's 'Exceedingly fortunate', leaving parliament with his huge taxpayer funded pension and then getting a plum job with a $1,000,000+ pay packet. Never had a proper job in his life, wouldn't have any idea on how ordinary Australian lives. No wonder his wife and daughter were smiling at his announcement. Just another parasite on the public purse.
@Harrass71 Says:
HI,My name is BILL SHORTEN I FU%%ED the NDIS,didn't have what it takes to be a real Leader,.now I'm the first to jump ship,(like the rats),..just like a spoilt little child,he can't handle his massive fu%k-ups,...

@RobertAtkin-i9y Says:
Queer as a 3 Dollar Bill and as popular and useful as a Condom in a Convent. Never cared about anybody but yourself and never told the truth once
@michaelhunter3471 Says:
Would be nice to retire, all politicians should be forced to retire at the same age the working class.
@Harrass71 Says:
Slimey rat leaves the sinking ship ,you are a grub shorten,you fu%"ed the NDIS,now your running like a coward,..just like a union leader does
@keithad6485 Says:
I am guessing Shorten's decision was very easy for him to make. As a minister, he was probably on 300K plus. As Vice Chancellor, to give an idea of what they are paid, Melbourne University pays their Vice Chancellor approx $1M per year.
@antoniafenech8279 Says:
Shorten is just another labour Quisling. Part of the outgoing Albanese government that’ll feel the wrath of blue collar workers at the next election. Jumping ship before the inevitable. Typical Shorten.
@justinl416 Says:
Now all we need is for Scomo to retire so I never have to listen to that pompous prick ever again
@alexdrake5048 Says:
Short rope and a tall tree TREASON
@sandrawilks6783 Says:
I doubt if most Australians think highly of him or Albanese
@damiencampbell8320 Says:
He is off to earn a million a year as Vice Chancellor of Canberra University - better pay and less work and he can draw that parliamentary pension and do some "consulting" on the side. It's called reaping in the money.
@ianwilson8759 Says:
I would give Bill Shorten a piece of advice - this is from someone who has retired from work - stop doing so many interviews about retiring from politics. It comes across as attention seeking and a bit vain. It is a rare politician that accomplishes anything that materially changes our lives in a positive way, but there are multitudes of politicians who stuff things up for us. The cabinet he is now part of is stuffing us up - and that's one of the real reasons why he is bailing out. Now I'd really respect him if he came out and said that Albanese and Chalmers were terrible politicians doing Australia harm and he can't stand being part of that woeful team. That would be good, if he did that, but he won't because he has a loyalty to his party that comes before a loyalty to Australia. Because I think he is a good man I think his family and friends will know just how much he despises the Albanese government.
@johnosu Says:
LBTQ PRIME MINISTER 😂
@Monkeyboy2457 Says:
His fortune is our debt and misery.
@flashrufa6306 Says:
Arrest this criminal for the stealing money from NDIS and Racketeering
@stevedurrant6112 Says:
Shorten was,is and always will be a failure. He was unelectable as a politician. What a looser!
@peterhatch206 Says:
What is the salary of his new contribution?
@robertcoleman4861 Says:
He wanted the top job but he failed miserably.🤣😂😅😆😄😁
@Honestguy2 Says:
I do wish him and his family a long and happy retirement , his contribution to our wonderful country will not be forgotten
@debbie6353 Says:
Another clown gone
@alexmarshall8894 Says:
Now that he’s got his pension, he’s ready to retire. What a selfless little worm he is🥹
@Kokoda144 Says:
It is amusing that the only way the LNP can get a look in is for another politician to retire
@timwilson4684 Says:
Bill Shorten will do well for himself - it's a Labor thing.
@olddog-fv2ox Says:
Shortone is going for the money. Trashed his wife of many years for the secretary says everything about his commitment to those he has responsibility for
@janelawson4394 Says:
So what did he do for Australians over those years???
@lauran1212 Says:
Aussies are now "extremely fortunate"...just a few more to go 😅😅
