I definitely don't agree with a lot of Pope Francis' views, even as a Catholic myself, nor do I agree with a lot of people IN the Church's views either. But God and what the Church stands for is not the same as the people in it. Believe it or not, we're all human. So yes, we're gonna screw the f up. Just like you. And all the people in the Church that do it are, at least for the most part, the corrupt ones. Non-Catholics who weasled their way into positions of power in the Church so they could dismantle it and ultimately take over the world. Now, before you make the argument of 'If the Church is so right and so good why does God have this stuff happen??' well, He doesn't. He lets it happen. We all have free will, a choice. And unfortunately, just as it can impact others positively, it can affect them negatively. Doesn't make God any less great, just makes us more human. I struggle a lot with sin myself and I'm not a professional apologetic by any means, but I do know that all of us are flawed and also that what he is talking about, about the migrants? Isn't entirely true. We're not required to give up our peace of mind to shelter those who bring our country harm and make no attempts to assimilate to our culture, as well as drain our resources and kill our citizens. So while I sincerely am very sorry for those of you who have had bad experiences with the Church, you by far don't know the whole story, nor should you generalize us as rape protectors. That honestly makes me disgusted. Please do better.
