""" Most, if not all ageing, increasingly unreliable and increasingly more expensive to run coal-fired generators will be closed by 2038. What would keep the 'lights on' in Australia while we wait 20+ years (NOT 10-12 years that the Coalition are promising) for any prospective nuclear generator units to become operational? It seems to me pro-nuclear ideologues never answer this inconvenient question. That's the conversation Australia needs to have.

We need peter dutton
@SherylSchrantz Says:
I stand with Peter Dutton!!
@franktully3065 Says:
While I support nuclear energy, what are Dutton's chances of changing Howard government anti nuclear legislation? This focus on nuclear also provides a useful distraction from Coalition's lack of opposition to "misinformation" laws and anti democratic WHO pandemic treaties and its lack of support for a real inquiry into government behaviour during COVID.
@footbru Says:
Littleproud, the irrelevant leader of a minor party which receives political power and salaries because of a deal made to keep the liberals in government.
@jennymills3147 Says:
GO!!! LNP. 👏 👏 👏
@DavidSmith-vx1gp Says:
Brand new coal fired power stations are needed but planet worshippers have drove investments away, we cant power whole nation with renewables so only option in future is nuclear.
@TonyStewart-q6e Says:
They have stated they are going to shutdown renewables in Qld. They take the country and they will takedown the federal renewables. They say nuclear and when it is two hard they will shut it down. Deniers because God would not do that. Or if he says I am going to cook the people it is God's judgement. These are conmen. T

@whatever9770 Says:
Dutton won’t be PM if he backs this speech control Act, being pushed thru parliament. He had better back off, if he wants any chance of winning. He has lost my vote.
@lexmc7432 Says:
Yeh I don’t care how the power is generated as long as prices start to come down, I’ll vote for clear leadership with a solid plan
@bretloyd8097 Says:
Coalition policy is not policy. . . .
@Genesis-007 Says:
Why? Pauline Hanson mentioned going nuclear a few years back, it's a bit late for Dutton to pretend to be all for nuclear just because there's an election on the way. VOTE ONE NATION 🇦🇺

Dutton will never be PM.

Good to see a bit of leadership
@DilanR596 Says:
They keep saying renewables are cheaper and I love solar but we should 1 - 3 nuclear plants
@John-ul4hv Says:
Albo & Labor has put the whole of Australia under siege, with LNP just watching ready to take advantage of Australians when they get in power
@elenawalker3746 Says:
The current LP leader has an interesting past, is he being protected by the ALPs new NACC why hasn't he been investigated for the deals he did as Home Affairs Minister when he gave millions of grants to dodgy companies such as Paladin and Construct both had $2 shelf companies with no assets, revenue or staff, $1.8 billion worth of contracts on his watch as Home, nah their track record to date is another protection racket body for our corrupt politicians as they only jail whistle-blowers.
