I am from Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan, and since independence, both India and Pakistan have made our lives miserable. Both claim that all of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are their integral parts, yet neither has ever asked the local population what they want. Both countries are determined to destabilize each other. Just as Pakistan promotes instability in India's Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir, India has also fully financially supported the chaos that has erupted in Balochistan in recent years. For us, both countries are corrupt.
