Western Australia's hard border will remain shut until at least January after Premier Mark McGowan unveiled an ambitious 90 per cent vaccination target as part of the state's roadmap out of the pandemic.
The premier argues the threshold will save 200 lives despite modelling from the Doherty Institute endorsing the 70 and 80 per cent reopening plan.
Business and tourism groups say the decision violates the National Cabinet agreement.
