Sky News guest host Daisy Cousens says the University of Melbourne can somehow afford to pay a six-figure salary to a full-time 'gender whisperer', despite cutting 450 jobs in 2020 due to the pandemic.
The salary for the role of Senior Advisor (Gender Affirmation) is $108,009 - $116,906 a year.
'I'm sorry but I reckon those 450 people who lost their jobs in 2020 at the University of Melbourne have the right to be very, very upset at this little fact,' she said.
'However, given how incredibly woke I'm sure the culture is at the University of Melbourne, of course in Australia's most left-wing capital city, they wouldn't dare say anything about it for fear of being horribly cancelled, horribly smeared and never getting a job in academia again.'
