Canavan: Labor on French government's side

????

Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says the Labor Party is on France - and not Australia's - side following the submarine deal fallout. 'I can't believe the position the Labor Party is taking,' Mr Canavan told Sky News Australia. 'They are on France's side. That's what they are doing, they are on the French government's side. 'They're helping Emmanuel Macron's re-election campaign.'

I don't personally care what anyone says I have no respect what so ever for Morrison and his Federal Government in the way they handled this with the French and I don't know why he didn't go back to the drawing board and see what the French had to offer with their nuclear subs. To me Morrison just constantly back flips on everything thing he says and does and I wouldn't trust him as far as I could kick him and he has damaged Australia's reputation so seriously what has that done for our National security.

Labor are always on the side of foreign countries, thats why they sell so much of AUSTRALIAN land to them
@patrussell8917 Says:
Give the PM some support as no reasonable politician seems to be doing . At least he made a decision, better than some that just talk and had time to do it previously .
@oldjim5950 Says:
Why would you interview a liberal like Dave Sharma, he is a member of the Liberal Party if he said anything against Morrison his career would be over.
@lulusbackintown1478 Says:
Why would anyone believe Macron? Little Napoleon is chucking his toys out of his pram and as well as giving Australia grief he is threatening the UK with stopping electricity to the Channel islands and go slows at the ports. Don't worry about the little bugger as the correspondent said this is all about the french election. I apologise if I'm not supposed to say the b word but I cant keep up with what I can or cannot say.
@elenawalker3746 Says:
Seriously, both the little Macron and Chairman Mo will be gone in a few months we DON"T care, we can't even crew the subs we have now let alone something that may happen over a decade.
@rissole7229 Says:
One thing is for certain, Labor will always back foreign governments before Australia. They will sell us out to the chinese in a heartbeat if they win the next federal election.
@kooriekollective8142 Says:
Canavan should save his money and get the hell off advertising for coal. Simp.
@oldman2800 Says:
The Audit Office was scathing in its criticism of the French behaviour with the Sub deal. Government would have been grossly negligent to disregard their criticism. The fact that Labor and Turdball and his mates think the deal was good for Australia is condemned by the evidence
@waynewilkins637 Says:
Labor is not pro France, they are anti Australia .
@frankwren8215 Says:
Most of the world is. Aussie govt is evil through and through, and you can bet they lied about this - they literally spent the past year talking about being human rights champions while shooting their own citizens in the back in public, en masse. These are not good people, no one in govt or MSM is.
@glennkenny9810 Says:
Dave Sharma says after being trained as a diplomat he knows when to keep his mouth shut. This is part of the problem that politicians don't say what they feel or say what needs to be said. While politicians don't address the uncomfortable truth, this country will continue to go backwards. Pauline Hanson seems to be the only one who has the guts to speak up.

So let's get this straight... Macron LIES and says that Morrison lied... To prove Macrons lie as thus info was released to prove Morrison wasn't lying... Yet the lefties in video think the rest of the world won't trust Morrison because he released the info proving Australia's innocence and Frances lying guilt... I also have to ask where are the media-ites with demanding Macron [facing election] address the info released that prove HE'S the liar??? Nowhere to be found of course... Conservatives facing election are acceptable targets [even to be lied about like Macron did to Morrison] but lefties like Macron facing election are never targeted [but in fact protected...] Real simple to figure the equation out... Media & lefties: Morrison lied to lefty Macron and we demand a follow up and answers! - Same media & lefties: Macron lied to Morrison and we say 'chirp, chirp, chirp', [crickets sound]... [No follow up demands of answers given...]

Politicians are mostly there for their own greed , power and interests. Too well paid and too many perks at the expense of taxpayers who work so hard to pay high taxes, sadly only to be squandered by these dirty politicians. $90 Billion+++ of hard earned taxpayers monies just to buy nuclear subs to help our best friend fight THEIR wars. America is the main perpetrator of wars all around the world, they have not learnt a lesson from the past wars, neither has Australia. But America has a reason for war (to keep their military industrial complex surviving) ,but Australia really do not have any reason for war! WAKE UP AUSTRALIA!
@LilSusss Says:
Of course Labor are going to stand with the French on this submarine situation. Labor are anti-Australia, and Pro-Socialism. They're scumbags that want to make Australia look bad. >:(

@chrisyoung9194 Says:
It is not a "Us and them" issue....Morrison lied to them....he also naively "leaked" his personal texts....Morrison is 100% out of his depth! It has zero to do with Labor, Nationals or even the Greens. This issue is an LNP failure!
@rogerthat487 Says:
The "lie" narrative started with a loaded question to Macron from a reporter and was headlined by Turnbull who set up the incredibly stupid deal in the first place. Macron the unAustralian Labor Party and most of the malevolent media. Fortunately someone had the competence and foresight to draft a contact that protected Aust from the inevitable failure of France to be able to deliver Turnbull's Folly. If Macron was honest he would admit that but he's on thin ice at home as it is.
@normanmazlin6741 Says:
This incident shows that some politicians are quite capable of prioritising the interests of foreign governments over Australia's needs, if they can claw some personal gain from it. Shame on Albanese (and Turnbull).

Besides the Prime Minister, how many others from LNP and the shadow ministry had early knowledge of issues relating the French Submarine deal and birthing of AUKUS? In particular, issues that ultimately led to calling off, of the submarines deal with France.
@drpeacesharman1285 Says:
LIBS and NATS war mongers beating their drums of war - we are all losers. AUstralia is the loser. It cannot even look after it own people, but yet has money to splurge on nuclear subs to help fight America's war on China. All to serve America's hegemonic policy and interests. Imagine spending $90 Billion in Australia's own people's health, education, economy and infrastructure. Also how about a few super high speed rails to link this whole big country together instead of going to war to fight a useless war for American greed?
@Wombbatts Says:
@Sky News Australia I did some checking and you need your trade peeps to get on the following, important as the subs. Get several Intel Fabrication facilities located strategically inland. Also fabrication for chip, electrolytic, tantalum, ceramic capacitors, Kemet Electronics. Resistor manufacture, CMOS, Linear and Analog integrated circuit manufacturer. LCD displays, Samsung. Get these companies to build strategic supply capacity in Australia. France's Schneider Electric, Telemechanique brand of industrial control devices, full line manufacturing. Opto 22 industrial IO. Omron contactors, relays.
