Live: Heavy snow hits NE China's Shenyang
This winter's first massive snowstorms hit northern and northeastern China on Saturday, freezing roads, trapping cars on mountains, causing highway closures and leading to suspension of trains and other forms of public transportation. Areas including the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the provinces of Hebei, Shandong, Liaoning and Jilin were expected to receive about 20 to 40 millimetres of snow between Sunday and Monday, according to the National Meteorological Center, which issued warnings for snowstorms and cold waves for most northern provinces on Sunday. CGTN brings you the latest from Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province.
