Live: Hunan's distribution hub secures Greater Bay Area food supply
A centralized agricultural product distribution hub in Yongzhou City, central China's Hunan Province, is among the first of six such facilities nationwide to provide high-quality food to residents in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is implementing stringent COVID-19 containment measures to ensure the safety of fruits and vegetables in the area. The farm-to-table delivery time has been cut to just seven hours with the help of a qualified third-party testing service. In addition, a 50,000-ton smart cold-chain support project is nearing completion. It is expected to go into operation by the end of 2021, providing convenience and support services for fruit and vegetable refrigeration.
