FBI Director Christopher Wray has warned the United States and its allies of China's threat, claiming the Chinese government was 'set on stealing your technology'.
He said China's government posed an 'even more serious threat to western businesses' than many realise.
'The Chinese government is set on stealing your technology, whatever it is that makes your industry tick and using it to undercut your business and dominate your market,' Mr Wray said.
'And they're set on using every tool at their disposal to do it.'
The FBI has more than 2,000 cases dealing with Chinese counterintelligence, with a new one on average opening every 12 hours.
