Aged care sector facing critical worker shortage

????

Half of Australia's aged-care workforce is planning to leave the sector within three years, according to a new industry report. A survey in the CompliSpace Aged Care Workforce Report revealed 69 per cent of staff want a pay rise of more than 20 per cent. Aged Care Minister Anika Wells warned using skilled migrant workers to fill shortages is not a 'silver bullet'. The Albanese government has introduced legislation to overhaul the sector by 2024 at a cost of $2.5 billion.
