Skills and Training Minister Brendan O'Connor says many Australians are 'looking for work', as he highlighted the need to invest appropriately in secure employment.
Mr O'Connor said it is important to invest in Australian workers and in areas of acute demand.
'We need to make the labour force more productive through increasing skills in the labour market,' he told Sky News Australia.
