REA Group senior economist Paul Ryan says currently in the housing market there is 'really strong listings activity' with many sellers bringing property to market.
He told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood there are still quite a number of buyers in the market.
'We've still got something like 50 per cent more potential buyers looking at properties on realestate.com.au than we had prior to the pandemic,' Mr Ryan said.
'But we're seeing prices falling and there's a lot of uncertainty about how high borrowing costs will go and how much borrowing capacity will reduce, and so how much activity and how active buyers are.'
