The sooner the war "ends" (an intermission isn't really an end) the sooner the enemy rebuilds and rearms for the next war. It is hard, but the more damage Ukraine does today the more years it will have to recover before the next assault. Russia can never be different. It never was. The way I see it, this will take as long as it takes. We must do what we can to support Ukraine's warriors and not hinder them by placing too much pressure on their shoulders. DO NOT put so high the expectations, anything that that would be taken as a defeat and , if I follow the logic you push for so long, the west would stop supporting (given the lack of progress).
