New York City introduces new vaccine mandates
New COVID-19 vaccine requirements have come into force in New York City as authorities aim to limit the impact of the Omicron variant on the health system. Children 12 years and over are now required to show proof they are fully vaccinated to access indoor dining areas and extracurricular school activities. Private sector employees also have to show they have received at least one vaccine dose. The city is the first in America to introduce a jab mandate for private workers.
