Wasn't she the one vote who gave the presidency to Dopey instead of Al Gore? Yeah, what a legacy.

It is worth recalling that she resigned from a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court of her own accord to take care of her husband who was suffering from Alzheimer's. You can't find a more noble deed for a woman than that.

We can say that Zionism does not occupy Palestine alone, but it occupies many other countries, including America. America cannot even control its money without the permission of Zionism, which controls the American decision

Sandra Day O'Coward. She did not do women any favors on the Supreme Court. Nor did she do the country any favors by throwing the 2000 election to George W. Bush. She was stupid, and useless, except to the Far Right.

If you died tonight, do you know where you will end up? This is the most important question you will ever ask yourself. The way to find out is if you have obeyed God’s Law, The 10 Commandments. You Shall Not Take the Name of the Lord in Vain. Have you ever used God’s name in place of a bad word? You Shall Not Murder. God tells us if we get angry without cause or hate someone, we are guilty. You Shall Not Commit Adultery. Jesus tells us, whoever looks at anyone to lust after them has already committed adultery with them in their heart. Have you ever looked with lust? You Shall Not Steal. Have you ever taken something that did not belong to you no matter the value? You Shall Not Bear False Witness. Have you ever told a lie, even just one little “white lie?” We can violate God’s Law by attitude or intent. This is just half of The 10 Commandments. We know we will ALL be found guilty and since God is a righteous Judge, He will have to punish us for breaking His Law. That punishment is eternal conscious torment in a place called hell. But God loves us so much that He provided a way to be forgiven for breaking His Law. Jesus Christ lived the only perfect life ever and took our punishment for our sin when He died on the cross. All we have to do is turn from our sins and receive Jesus Christ into our heart and we will have eternal life. This is a FREE gift from God. Once we take our last breath, our eternity is sealed . . . forever.

What an honorable Justice with unblemished career, she had done a lots of good for the country and most importantly, set standards for Justice, public servants, she retired from the court, not died on the court.

How was there ever an era to have had more respect for the Supreme Court when this country has never since its founding interpreted a comma as a comma and has intentionally interpreted commas in the US Constitution as periods to alter the interpretation of law into their desired outcomes and control the very construct of the Court itself and it's rulings primarily to enforce Sup.Ct.R. 10 and mandate use of the 2nd Amendment preemptively to the 1st Amendment in the subject-matter of slavery acting in the capacity of a military court instead of a civilian court militarizing law enforcement into military police and arming the Court voiding any claim as unarmed civilians when a tribunal is the only thing that separates actual war from democracy and diplomacy? That just means the standards of the people were lower, the people more ignorant and insurrect than they are today, and the law more injust than ever, especially considering the fact the chances are you have no idea what I just said just as much so as the attorneys arguing Amendment XIV Section 3 without Section 4 when Section 3 is based on the grounds of Section 4 even if indirect removing the direct argument of claims on the loss or emancipation of slaves.

Every "trail brazing" decision she participated in, e.g., abortion, voting rights, civil rights, has been struck down by the new court erected by Donald J. Trump. See? We didn't need the old witch after all.

The story here is not, that she was the first woman on Supreme Court, but that she was the first radical leftist to make it to the Supreme Court. Leftists are irritatingly stupid, because they are so hung up on a person's physicality, rather than their actions and policies and character. Truth is, she was horrible for the country, as a judicial activist, rather than an objective interpreter of the law.
@PatriciaVasquez-d3h Says:
She was female independence, to work, to travel, y to create financial respect. Border intelligence.

@ericdreizen1463 Says:
U kidding? If she'd had her way, the whole court would've been white women. Not only was she gender-biased, she was racist, homophobic, paranoid, argumentative, & about as irascible as anyone could be. Yeah, when she got out of car in the parking lot, heh heh heh, THE OTHER JUDGES CRINGED & BIT THE BULLET!! UH HUH!!

America has undergone a huge change in its legal history- in this case, a woman serving on the Supreme Court and thus making a big step for femininity! What a pity that the representative, Sandra Day O’Connor, developed health problems and passed away at age 93.

Kissinger was before my time but I had heard of the name. I recall back in July 2003 at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Sandra Day O'Connor was awarded the Liberty Medal. We were watching the ceremony on TV and the camera shot panned a guy fast asleep in the middle of the ceremony. I said check out that sleeping guy! My father-in-law informed me that it was Henry Kissinger. R.I.P. to both!
@t.r.campbell6585 Says:
We should not lose sight of the fact that she was appointed to the bench by former President Ronald Reagan.
@cashaeleatemla Says:
Once she retired from the bench, her replacement, Alito, moved the court to the right on issues such as restrictions to abortion and campaign finance. It was Alito who would pen the 2022 decision overturning Roe v. Wade and Casey. After leaving the high court and before her own diagnosis, O’Connor became an advocate for Alzheimer’s disease. She also launched a website dedicated to encouraging young people to learn civics.
@cashaeleatemla Says:
O’Connor inspired generations of female lawyers – including the five women who served after her nomination on the high court. They admired her path marking success in a field that had been dominated by men. Over time, she became known as a moderate conservative and often the swing vote on hot-button social issues. She died after living to see a new conservative leaning court overturned an abortion decision she helped pen in 1992, lower the bar between church and state and set its sights on another area of interest to her: affirmative action.
