the government increased the sub for Medicare, but GPS still refuse pensioners, game is to say they bulk bill , then not referr the patient to a specialist, USE the time to tell you why you should have private insurence. They state governments wants an american style health system.,

Amazing that people complain about paying $40 for a 10 min consult to a doctor. Yet those same people wont complain about paying a few hundred to lawyer or dentist for the same time.

Im changing my Chemist because they keep wanting me to renew scripts every fortnight. My doctor doesn't bulkbill me. Something dodgey there.

Prior to the introduction of Medicare, by a Labor government, people with private health insurance could claim back 100% of their doctor visits. The Labor govt deemed that somehow “unfair” and made everyone pay a Medicare tax on top of their private insurance if they had it and also made it *illegal* for health insurance companies to cover GP visits.

There is no such thing as a poor doctor!

I saw a chart earlier today that gave averages for out of pocket expenses for a GP visit in my state.....my GP practice has been ripping me off for years, time for me to shop around a bit.

Remember most doctors are in it for the money. They stopped signing the hypocritical oath years ago. It’s now fifteen minutes and my hundred bucks.
@CatsandJP Says:
Show me a poor down on their luck doctor….the ones who do not have a nice flashy house in an élite suburb, the lastest model car, kids in private schools and don’t take regular overseas holidays…those types of doctors don’t exist…if they did they would be a rare breed indeed

Why are we paying a Medicare levy? All medical expenses need to be absorbed by our Medicare levy

They dont want healthy people. GPs give you 10mins of their time,,charge a fortune for that 10mins and dont treat the issues properly. They work for big pharma and just want to put u on pills. Everything is becoming unaffordable.
@davidcarter4247 Says:
Labor will eventually seek to nationalise health services. Doctors will be compelled to take the bulk billing rate, and patients will have a doctor allocated to them. That is Labor's plan
@Conky769 Says:
Oh look it's inflation. Quick.. let's pretend it's not.
@joeybrown3583 Says:
And if you can’t afford it……..what happens then.
@BobHawkeREAL Says:
Remember when the ALP voters spat the dummy because the Abbott government wanted them to pay *$7* per visit? 😂😂😂
@BobHawkeREAL Says:
Not something Labor voters wanted, surely? 😉
@M77982 Says:
The LNP wanted a Medicare Co Payment, now we are paying more. Lol
@AI_Karen Says:

@scorpioM56 Says:
LOL is this guy serious? These guys keep rorting system year on year and still cry the money isn't enough. Nobody wants to pay $40 plus for your crappy 1 min consultation just to end up with mediocre advice.
@stevewiles7132 Says:
$75.00 For a ten minute consultation, that's $450.00 an hour, poor buggers.
@freshmaker0088 Says:
