If I enter a shop that won't let me pay the way I want then I walk straight out. Too many places won't accept cash. First it's the digital ID then it's a cash phase out.... Imagine how easy it would be for the government to suddenly close down everyone's access to their funds if there's only card usage & no cash.

A cashless society may as well be a commo society. Total control.

>Line of people waiting to use self-checkout paying in cash. >Card-only kiosk is free

I would care more about cash if the AUD wasn't so weak. The more the Government prints money its more worth less
@thesecondantagoniser4008 Says:
Cashless will ultimately win in the long wrong because it's much more convenient; no need to worry about counting for the youngsters in retail who don't know basic math and no loose change just hanging around and less space needed in wallets. Those who doubt me, you will see, but I'll be happy to be proven wrong.

The ONLY way to stop this Bull Ship is to CUT UP your CREDIT CARD, every time you use it, you're playing right into their hands, it's not rocket science, however, people are creatures of habit they like to take the easy way out, instead of going to a bank and standing inline.
@DisturbedYoyo Says:
Cash is king. And kudos to SkyNews for allowing comments on their videos while every other news channel blocks us from talking as a community
@bodhi9464 Says:
withdraw cash at the supermarket ~ you don’t have to go to a bank atm 🇦🇺
@vinaty3354 Says:
VISA- virtually invisible secret agenda. Remove cash
@vinaty3354 Says:
Australia needs to remove itself from the UN and World monetary fund. And support community banks not the big 4 they hate you.And would very happily have a chip in your hand to pay wave.
@vinaty3354 Says:
Who voted for this ? All parties and top 200 Australian companies are responsible in this devious plan
@vinaty3354 Says:
One phone call from your boss could stop it overnight, blah blah blah. If you stop using cash you no longer will have a backstop when the powers out and they shut them. Covid was a trial , to take your rights.
@AckshonThing Says:
I would have liked to have joined in and drawn out some cash and bought stuff EXCEPT... The town where I live doesn't have any ATM's, actually, we don't even have a shop 🙃

I love how they think banks give one single fuck.
@billthewhovian Says:
I always pay with cash because I can't figure out transaction fees and "Card fees" I have a learning disability and can't figure these things out. I can count physical cash I know how much I have in my wallet. I don't want to get my phone out every time trying to figure out if I can afford the item or items with the fees on top nor do I want to check my balance to see if I even have that amount in my account. Everytime I hear of a cashless society I feel sick to my stomach not only because I fear what would become of me and people like me who can't do maths for one reason on another but the elderly like my grandmother, she doesn't understand how cards work or what net banking is (Not that I can help because I don't do those kinds of things myself) I also worry for people who have disabilities like Autism or Downs Syndrome where depending on how disabled they are may not like change and may not adapt well. It's for these reasons I am against a cashless society, in fact I would like to see cash access and use being enshrined in something like the constitution or something akin to a Bill of Rights (Not necessarily like the US Bill of Rights) or at very least written into law. Not that I trust Albo and Co to do any of that seeing they've done nothing in the last 2 years or so except for letting more and more people in when we don't have enough houses for the current population. Also another reason to not have a cashless society cash doesn't require the internet or power to operate and all a business needs to use the cash registers that have a manual way to open and close the cash draws or maybe the stores could have battery backup for the cash registers oh and if it is a power outage and they don't have battery backup or a generator then pen, paper and calculator it is. Just a suggestion.
@geoffgunn9673 Says:
You would think with people withdrawing cash with transactions at shops would be moving enough money around

I would love to meet one of these new reporters as they have a good head on them about things!
@mydogzty Says:
unfortunately a lot of people just don't care enough to pay with cash is just too much effort - even if it saves them mney. I mean, me spending $5 on a coffee isn't for me or my diet, but paying $3-4.50 for a big m m coffee for example yes I'll pay cash/coins. Im aware of the surcharge which is just a rort. Banks have even limit you to where you cans pend your money, a mate couldn't spend 10k on crypto recently, what a joke!
@QuinnKallisti Says:
"Draw out some cash day" You mean "Lets do a run on the banks" day.... Jesus people are stupid. Cash demand has been the highest it has been in years, already...

@Donant88 Says:

@stanrix Says:
You can’t even be employed without a bank account. So the banks already have us by the balls. Imagine the control they would have without physical currency as an option…
@user-xj4im5oj8h Says:
A lot of uneducated Australians un fortunately. Paying someone cash helps them get ahead of YOU. Do some research on the tax and gst system involving business. Idiots
@naydeenbirst9871 Says:

@naydeenbirst9871 Says:

@naydeenbirst9871 Says:
Take the money I'm taking the item it's not theft I paid for it
@waza987 Says:
I went into local business that advertised a surcharge for paying with card. I tried paying with cash and she was so confused and could not find any change in the end she asked if I would pay by card if she waived the surcharge. It sure what this means but it is clear some local business do not prefer cash.
@GalaxyGeassS2 Says:
No thanks, i hate carrying cash, haven't for over 15ish years now (other than when I had to in Japan). I have been stuck in a situation where I could have used cash, twice. Both were maccas runs where they would have accepted cash as machines were down. Not exactly the most important thing on the planet.
