No politicians will be brave enough to say out loud increase in minimum wages was an ignorant and bad policy. Because of votes. Labour planning more increase is bad for inflation. Also, people having become too familiar with low interest rate and are still landing money with no fear,expecting the rate to head lower soon, is another problem. 0% rate was just crazy and we had that environment for too long which created too much bubble and this is a big, big problem for future monetary policies. 4-5% is more like normal, but because of current high leverage in the system, that normal rate will be very tough on the economy. A good government would try to eliminate the excessive leverage but I don't think we will see this now.
