Somebody with no real understanding of classical computers is going to fall every step of the way for this.
for the quantum dream of classical obsoletion. that is.
But no advantage is really provided by the proposed replacement for the electron.
While it also exhibits uncontrollable unreliability, as the nature of its behaviour, described as SuperPosition, Decoherrence, and Entanglement.
Its true or false detection boolean is never 100% reliable.
The idea is it may only simulate things related to the theory of Quantum Mechanics.
with the dream being it could do other things. as would a classical computer.
Current machine learning AI does not use quantum computing.
Though sometimes it is branded as quantum.
CoPilot, GPT and azure does not use quantum computing.
One german suggests a quantum computer could identify the difference between a picture of a cat and dog
something that AI can already do without quantum computing.
The whole thing is wild, and not that impressive. Not that persuasive and not very reliable.
Seems crazy to me.
The more reliable and immediate investment for Jobs, and Economy is to make the things current technology uses.
