The budget surplus is a result of grim Jim and Albo doing nothing to ease the cost of living, ie: removing the petrol excise. Record levels of income tax, yes some got a small amount of temporary tax relief but it is just temporary, record levels of immigration which is a good socialist economic method of gaining revenue and general inaction to curb inflation. This is not a surplus from responsible fiscal management and Jim and co. know it.
