Keep electing people of quality.... Bowen, Gallagher, any Teal, what can go wrong?

I'd question why something as important as an energy supply changeover, affecting 26 million people, was not put to the Australian voter to decide upon via referendum... when a small activist group within 3% of our population are able to have us waste $450+ million, plus corporate propaganda $$$, on a divisive attempted power grab via referendum. Australians need more say in where our tax dollars go and how our country is run. I'd encourage everyone to take a look at the Swiss 'Optional & Mandated Rederendum' system, which is far more democratic than our form of referenda by government choice.

The countries that went down the so-called renewables had backups from other countries. Australia has none but the parliament children had to play the game and we are losing.

Rita they can not ever get the weather correct, this is the nut cases what we got to deal with complete idiots
@johngeier8692 Says:
Net Zero is economically destructive delusional insanity. We need to withdraw from the Paris Accord, repeal the renewable energy targets legislation and use the most economical energy resources available. The carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels are largely beneficial. Benefits include greening of the planet with increased agricultural yields (main effect) reduced winter heating costs, fewer deaths from hypothermia and postponement of the next glacial maximum. We are currently burdened with a large cohort of dishonest duplicitous politicians who are colluding with ridiculous and economically destructive popular delusions.

Rita, Yes We Know How Powerful You Sky People are. Professor Plimer, Show us the Proof. Show us the Solar Panels Leaking ?. But Show us the COAL OIL GAS DATA ?.
@oldgolfer7435 Says:
Right wing Rita, does not ask Plimer why there are so many putting their money where their mouth is and investing in renewable energy!

I would love to see Mr plimer Debating Albanese and Chris Bowen and that clown Adam Bandt.. and these useless inept politicians have to answer the questions with fact.. and not with emotion because they’re about to cry.. stop destroying Australia..😳
@creditelectric Says:
Don't these two get tired of each other?
@gibbonsdp Says:
Why would Sky ask a geologist's opinion on renewables? Because he's a well-known climate denialist, which apparently is all the qualification you need.

The fossil fuel industry thinks that their short term profits are more important than the long term future of the planet. Coal mining actually destroys much more plant life. Our grandchildren do NOT want 3C of global warming.

How often do you drive past wind farms and actually see them turning at a decent speed? If at all, what a waste of money.

@chriswilliams8607 Says:
Environmental concerns as an argument against wind turbines are absurd. Imagine how much coal such a turbine has prevented from beeing extracted, transported and burned... we are talking here about a quarter million tons(!!) of coal that have been saved in the lifetime of one single wind turbine. come on, get serious. Environmental impact would be many mangitudes worse if windturbines had not been used.
@XeroSHWANG Says:
the man is the director of multiple coal and rare earth metal mining companies ... of course he is going to advocate that clean energy is an eye sore ... its in his best interests... one would argue wind turbines looks alot prettier than blasting craters into the ground and extracting "plant food" looks alot worse ... plant food like really evil people get a life
@random2829 Says:
"Geologist Ian Plimer says there is “no industry at all” where wind turbines can be recycled." In Texas they simply bury them. "Sweetwater Texas turbine graveyard".
