Shouldn’t they have had to cite what laws Trump was supposed to have violated before trial. Or is this a trial in search of a crime. I mean I seem to always have heard what crime was someone being charged with. It seems that the whole case could be thrown out because the prosecutor never listed what crimes Trump was being charged with. This would be a massive problem for any defense attorney because he wouldn’t know what to defend his client against. It’s already been made almost impossible because the judge allowed the prosecution to withhold the identity of their witnesses. So you don’t know who or what to prepare for. It seems that this judge has made so many errors that with any luck will see him before a disciplinary hearing, possibly removed from the bench, and maybe disbarred. Was his prejudice worth the possible outcome to his career?

For Professor Turley: If there is (later adjudged to be) no real, factual crime that has been committed, is there then a situation of "Factual innocence"? Detained, arrested, tried and maybe even incarcerated for a non-existent violation of law....wouldn't all this be a civil rights violation and a civil award? I knew someone once in California who was arrested and incarcerated, and the judge directed a verdict of "FACTUAL INNOCENCE". The city (Pomona) was on the hook and paid off for a million plus. I know all this is in the future but it need not end with the election, however that goes.

How does a prosecutor claim in court that a defendant had committed a crime if that defendant was never convicted of, nor even charged with, that crime? The prosecutor is being allowed to flat out lie to the jury. It demonstrates the desperation of this prosecutor to damage this defendant through slander if not through a winnable case.
