Stranded family and dog recued from Queensland floodwaters
A stranded family and dog have been rescued by a chopper as Queensland floodwaters surround Gympie. The family's home became cut off by the floodwaters around midday on Friday. They drove up a hill near the house while they waited for help to arrive. The aircraft managed to land outside the property to collect them. The dog was secured in a child rescue capsule during the flight.
