WA expands level one restrictions statewide amid COVID cases tipping over 1,000
Western Australia's daily COVID-19 cases have tipped over 1,000, the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. Level one restrictions have been expanded statewide as clusters in regional communities grow. The state on Friday reached 1,039 new local COVID infections, a large increase since earlier this week. The restrictions will apply statewide on Monday, 6am.
