Federal government announces a $65 million funding boost for space industry
The Australian Space Agency has been asked to embark on a mission to send another Australian astronaut into space as the federal government provides a further $65 million to the industry. Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the funding while campaigning with South Australian Premier Steven Marshall. 'We are an astronaut nation in getting Australians back into space as part of these initiatives, so very exciting,' Mr Morrison said. Part of the investment will be used to build up to three spaceports.
