Support for SA Premier Steven Marshall drops in latest Newspoll
Support for South Australian Premier Steven Marshall and his minority Coalition government has plummeted, according to the latest Newspoll. The Primary Vote for the Coalition sits at just 37 per cent, two points behind Labor at 39 per cent. Labor leader Peter Malinauskas holds a hefty leader over Steven Marshall as preferred premier 46 per cent to 39 per cent. In order to win the election Mr Marshall would need to defy Newspoll history as with one exception no other premier has won re-election against an opponent with a superior better-premier result.
