Thousands to rally in Melbourne against Putin's 'state-sponsored terrorism'
Thousands are expected to descend on the steps of Melbourne parliament today to show solidarity with Ukraine and call out Vladimir Putin's "state-sponsored terrorism," says Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations' Chrestyna Kmetj. "We're expecting thousands of people to be ... coming out in solidarity," Ms Kmetj told Sky News Australia. Ms Kmetj said federal and state MPs will be out in support as well as faith groups holding a prayer vigil. "So yes we are expecting thousands to actually be stepping out and supporting and saying: 'Putin you are a terrorist, this is state-sponsored terrorism, this must stop'."
