Independent Senator Rex Patrick says the various sanctions against Russia that have been applied, have been 'applied too late'.
'Vladimir Putin has invaded (Ukraine) and is engaging in aggressive warfare on another country's sovereign soil, that is against international law and it has to be dealt with,' he told Sky News host Chris Smith.
