China likes to boast, what you see is essentially European-American civilization, Europe-America has succeeded in spreading their civilization throughout the world, China? Learn kungfu and you will rule the world
@ykc311 Says:
I noticed that only the western politicians don’t like China, but all the western civilians visited China, they are very happy and with good experience.

I don't expect in Canada everybody speaks Chinese,so do so in China。 Yesterday, I saw a doctor for my leg pain. He is a Chinese, but can't speck putonghua, and his English pronunciation is poor and every fast, so in Canada, what can I do?
@mikec4845 Says:
Alina should visit the Far Western and North of China near the Russian border. Locals will speak Russian in those areas.

Wait until she realizes her native Ukraine has been taken over by UkroNazis of Western Ukraine who fought alongside Hitler.

Even as an overseas Chinese (non-citizen) with a Wechat account, I also couldn't register for a free ticket into the Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing. Can't remember what was the glitch, but I think I didn't have a Chinese mobile number. Same with trying to enter the Chengdu Tianfu Art Museum. A lot of these attractions eco-system are just built for locals and domestic tourists. C'mon China you can do better! But at least this time round, I was able to bind my Alipay and Wechat Pay with my international credit card and pay effortlessly with this great cashless payment system, following China's opening up in July 2023. Keep it up!

What you see with your own eyes is the truth. Whatever others or government media tell you is mostly lies. China is the safest and most advanced country in the world. The people here are very friendly. No other country can compare. Chinese people especially respect women. Women have a higher status in China than men.
@delsol1967 Says:
It is difficult to book tickets whether for trains or entries into some attractions as some of these require you to have a local sim card. Tourism in China could explode in a big way as it is one of the most interesting countries in the whole world to visit. I hope the authorities will make the facilities easier for the tourists to book.

China's new visa system for selected western countries are helping to debunk western media propaganda and lies on China. US $1.5 billion budget of training and bribing journalists to publish negative stories on China is going down the drain.
@RyanWilliamsi Says:
Welcome to travel in China, which is so vast that every province has a different feel! As long as you don't have a western ideological bias, you will find it wonderful to be in China!
@hsingchen5141 Says:

CGTN, pls leave them alone.
@theinfralink6598 Says:
The truth is starting to come out through the eyes of these Youtubers. It can no longer be hidden despite the best efforts by the Western governments and media. Genius move by the Chinese government to unilaterally relax the visa requirements to visit China. CGTN can create hundreds of videos telling the world that China is not as bad as the Western propaganda machine makes it to be but it's just not as effective as these Youtubers from the West.

English speaking tourist expected that China like Malaysia, and South East Asia country understand English, not so, even in Shanghai you will be lucky some Chine student will help You. Some young foreign tourist made good use with the cellphone to get around in China. I Speake some Chinese but not able to read and write, so I have to use my own wit to get around in China I travel there every year.
@unifieddynasty Says:
Just a reminder that China is the 4th most popular travel destination in the world. It is normal and good to want to visit China and see China for yourself. And it is one of the best ways to promote intercultural learning and friendships. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
@kko-punch7059 Says:
China does have to smooth out the two popular payment apps (Alipay and WeChat). I could not use them fully even I loaded them up correctly. Some merchants accepted, some did not honor them. Why? I don’t know!! They need to set up some kind of agencies to help people troubleshoot the issues.

想要好的旅游体验,学会中文不是应该的吗?风景区很多都没有单独的网站,这和外国几乎一个小店有个单独的网站是最大的区别,景区预订系统都是集中的,所以你要学会中文
@liamporter1137 Says:
China should make it even more easily for tourists to visit China.

@NormanF62 Says:
Alina MacLeod is a Canadian YTber and vlogger. Her experience is by no means the same for everyone and its important to note treatment of tourists could be improved. The one thing that would help a lot is abolishing the visa requirement and allowing people to enter on their passports for up to 60 days, with renewals possible in the country. No country can afford to pass up on hospitality. Its what makes human life so open, rich and warm and if you want to maintain barriers to it, that’s part of being a sovereign country where you get to set your own rules. Just because others set visa requirements, doesn’t mean you have to and not even in reciprocity because you want to be more welcoming and friendly than them. Take it to heart!
@Airbender-kl7cu Says:
This was all fortold in that 2012 "Looper" movie where Bruce Wllis said you want to be living in China, an Not Europe or America because Western countries will turn to crap and living standards will be extreme poverty & dystopia

I am not surprised that you were surprised by what you had experienced and seen in China. The Anglo Saxon media have done a great job in brainwashing their audiences by creating negative, biased or even fake narratives about China.
@user-me2dy6ct4z Says:
You were expected a mostly rural, muddy China 😂
@roychang1460 Says:
CGTN的心態可議。是外國的月亮比較圓,還是中國人自認低下?
@navado75 Says:
Most people don't have a passport and gladly believe their country is the best at everything.
@PeterSzeto-es6em Says:
Alina McLeod is among the best travel vloggers on YouTube, and if you are learning English as a second language, you should watch her videos and pay attention to the way she speaks the language.
@benz7051 Says:
Good suggestion on booking tickets for attraction sites.
@3d4fun96 Says:
China's CCTV cited Alina's podcast video to illustrate that some of her suggestions have been taken seriously and improved by relevant Chinese authorities. This is China, a truly democratic country that does not claim to be democratic or publicize it, but an efficient democratic country that responds to people's requests.
