Assange needs to be very careful here. His "team" - can say what they like. They know - Assange - gave the middle finger to governments. To try and spin this - as a victory - we will never be told - of what Australia - gave the U.S. for his release. And labor would have paid to high a price. You can bet labor - wont talk about the one sided deal they cut - to win his freedom.
The issue here - Assange released - highly classified U.S. government files. The U.S. is known to pursue around the world anyone who commits a crime against U.S. laws - and bring them to justice. The Assange story sat in the twilight zone of - he was a freedom fighter - and a journalist. Was his media image. Was in total contrast - to his personality.
He made his reputation as a computer hacker. That's how he lived his early life. The fact he was someone - who was a hacker - and he tried to spin this mage of himself as freedom fighter - was all lies and a fake image.
He thought - he could live this lie - as a modern Robin Hood. The fact his lawyers are trying to make mileage out of the fact - it took the Australian Government to get his freedom. Is - his lawyers - are like dogs trying to bury a bone on a marble floor. There was a lot of scratching and yapping - and nothing much was happening.
His team - need to be really careful. If they try to sue - in the U.K. or U.S. - they wont win. As every appeal they tried - failed. And it was through political intervention - he was freed. And the only way - he got his freedom - was a "PLEA DEAL" - so he pleaded GUILTY - to his crimes. He was not pardoned - or found NOT GUILTY. He struck a plea deal.
