China never has a problem of getting oil and gas from the friendly countries. Its problem is how to be equitable to all of them and make sure everyone's interest is looked after.
Luckily China has developed its renewable energy and is leading the world. China can therefore passes on the renewable energy skill, knowledge and technology in exchange for the fossil energy which China uses for industrial applications.
China's future lies with the friendly countries in the Central Asia, Russia, ASEAN, Africa and the global south countries in South America. It can re-couple with the hostile US and the EU when the time comes.
