Elections are won by People mainly because people vote against somebody rather than for somebody.
Usually politicians kick the can down the road but in this case, Instead of the politicians, the French people have kicked the can down the road this time.
Things always seem to get worse in France before it starts to get better.
In 7 years Macron has been built up and then slowly facing a complete wipe out.
Going forward there will be 2 political parties in France, National Rally and Jean luc Melenchon' Far Left. (Marine La Pen' National Rally has to soften it stance on many issues but if you join Jean luc Melenchon' Party you have to move it's end of the spectrum whoever you are)
Till then, France should keep on doing what it's doing, which is
1) Drink Wine
2) Smoke a cigarette
3) Talk about Philosophie.

Macron and Ursula von der layen are going to be "gone" in two years and then end up in a think tank in New York or Washington, which is where they has more in common with, unlike the average voter in France or Germany, whom they despise, same can be said about Olaf Scholz (Tony Blair model).
Ever since Tony Blair and Barack Obama there has been an epidemic of politicians who care more about thier "political Afterlife" than thier own country. Hence they do what suits thier career and not what suits the larger population. "Hence we get Populism".
Macron still didn't do the hard work that Marine la pen did. Macron ended up in the position because of spectacular failures of Francois Hollande and Sarkozy who were detached from any sort political reality and cared more about thier mistresses.
I remember John Oliver doing segments fawning over Francois Hollande. After the failure of Hollande John Oliver never did a video about how Francois Hollande had an approval rating of 3 percent and had to step away from elections out of embarrassment.
That's the difference between Elite people' opinion and Ordinary people' opinion.
