Legally, this is a somewhat boring, hair-splitting case. All the juice comes from the partisan part of the case... the timeline... You folks need to do some research. Before Judge Roberts received his appointment to the Supreme Court he served on a five-person panel that the guidelines for appointment of a Special Council. The guidelines as written are the ones being used by the DoJ.
