Let’s talk a out how the basic milk crate is a better structure then that sub…I know what I’m building my next sub out of

Why do they have that turquoise coloured monkey fist on that arm? I make those things at work and I’m just curious why they would have it on a deep sea submersible. We make ours as doorstops and also floating dog toys so it’s weird to see it just hanging onto a submersible robotic arm like this.

I dont even know what the point of that was, if we have drones, like im watching how one right now... its already mind boggling why they didnt just us that method fully and stayed safe at the surface, instead they have mixed it, the same shitty few in a small screet just in inside that freaking thing with probably even worse quality...

I am constantly amazed by what humans have created . I struggle to understand how some can be so intelligent yet others can’t comprehend basic facts despite all evidence.

The owner of the thing sucked them for money to die. His company should be sued for going what he did .

Does someone remote control the robot or is it doing that on its own?
@Mikestamper04 Says:
Just knowing the Titanic is literally Just 300 meters away from this is kind of eerie.

I’m saddened by the tragedy, yet the ppl wanted to do this…. But can’t deny the technology on this is absolutely incredible

I work with these ROV’s on a daily basis as a ROV technician, and I can tell you this, they’re not constructed for easy service! The tolerances on waterproof compartments makes them incredibly tiresome to open and service and recalibrate (which is done often). Also, those manipulators are around 2 meters ++ when extended, and the entire ROV is as Big, or bigger, than most cars. Some even have FOV POV VR with 4k cameras, so it feels like you’re down there. Actually its better, because there isnt 1 foot of glass to mess with the visuals.

You know what? I don't care what this is. I care about the fact that I'm in my nice warm bed and not under the water right now. I love my bed and I love oxygen🥰🥳🥰🥳 say thank you for your bed right now.... And say thank you for oxygen and take a nice deep breath!!!!!! 🫁💞

If you look closely you can see Stockton's integrity floating by.

Honestly, I was more amazed by the engineering behind this ROV than the "engineering" behind the Titan. Crazy how precise those articulated claws are - they tied a knot more intricate than anything I've ever tied.

Who knew a milk crate would be useful in such a tedious endeavor 😮

Love the milk crate. Multitasker at the bottom of the ocean, pressure? Pffft
@ornsteinthedragonslayer2092 Says:
Yes, more scientific discovery about our ocean please! The more technology that gets developed, the more realistic it’ll be for us to send probes to the closest earth-like planet and check out the planet from its surface using specialized technology like this. We even need to start thinking about new materials if we want to have unmanned missions to space let alone doing stuff in our own planet. Seeing the cellular and molecular structure of how things work on strange planets will possibly change our understanding of material science and lead to groundbreaking stuff or even a paradigm shift in scientific understanding. I have no doubt this is the path to the stars, in layman’s terms we just have to 100% our run of Earth and that includes solving the climate problems it encounters, due to the greedy ones among us (spoilers it’s always republicans, I would know I was one).
@The10folks Says:
Incredible technology to do all that at 4000 meter depth, and with a crystal clear picture as well. In the longer version of the video, there's a fish that casually swims by at 4,000 meters.

I just hope they can make it to those guys before they run out of air, the banging noises are now 5 days apart

Stockton Rush murdered 4 others. A plastic submarine could never be safe. Carbon fiber is just fabric and plastic resin. Plastic!

What a phenomenal deep submersible with twin manipulator arms! Very nice kit! Outstanding, crystal clear imagery from almost 4,000 metres below the Mother Ship and its Submersible Pilot! This is Jules Verne stuff come to life!
