I have a better PLAN, the Govt needs to cut the Fuel Excise. Think how much that would save people, not just on fuel costs but the flow on, on all goods that need to be transported by road. I wonder why Elbow hasn't thought of that?????

Best way to save, is buy fuel when it's cheaper before the long weekend. Don't buy it over the long weekend. Fuel is pretty cheap now, cheapest I've seen it in a long time.

The best way to save on fuel costs is to drive efficiently. The vast majority of the public have no idea how to drive properly. They needlessly accelerate when they don't need to, drive too fast and slam on the brakes too often. It all adds up to higher fuel consumption and increased maintenance. This point seems completely lost on journalists and the government. Of course fuel companies don't care because if people did it, it would reduce their profits.
