A motion by Senator Ralph Babet to acknowledge *that babies born alive after an abortion deserve medical care was defeated in the Senate 18 to 32 yesterday, Tuesday 20 August 2024.*
Four Liberal and 28 Greens and Labor senators united to oppose the motion of urgency acknowledging this humanitarian crisis.
