I spent 2 weeks in Wellington hospital in May 2023. I struggled through the ESOL nurses who were trying their hardest through under staffing and long hours. They were trying their hardest and really wanted to do a good job. But when four nurses have to repeatedly ask when your last period was and you have to explain that you’ve had a hysterectomy four years prior it really does become worrisome.

There could be a lost in translation moment between one who is fluent and another who thinks they are. Medical terms are generally english and there could be issues in diagnosis
