How anyone can defend the supermarkets when they are making record profits is beyond me.
We really need a regulatory body that sits between the wholesale and retail to ensure fair pricing, as clearly the supermarkets aren’t interested in anything other than profit. What people need to understand is food isn’t a luxury (although a box of chocolates might be), but a necessity.
