What about shrink inflation? Just about everything is downsized and yet the prices have increased
@Hunty49 Says:
The average price of diesel is $1.80/litre. If the government cared about it's people, how about removing the diesel fuel tax excise. As of August 2024 it is 50.6¢ per litre. That's about 30% of the cost of diesel. If you removed that, the cost to produce the goods (farmers), transport the goods (truckers), manufacture the goods (manufacturers), transport the manufactured goods (truckers) to the outlets will be slashed, reducing the prices. They always add taxes, but when needed they never REMOVE taxes.

How about the prices for government services? Paid nearly $500 for a passport. One of the most expensive passports in the world. Have to pay the government nearly $10,000 for my son's visa. How about government price gouging?
@raygoldberg8872 Says:
This woman talks absolute shit. Perhaps she doesn't do the shopping herself and believes the BS from the government and supermarkets.
@Jo-AnneFielding Says:
Stores are zoned a store 10 min away is cheaper than the store 15min away with less competition cost more for general priced items
@Joseph-wu6kd Says:
The supermarkets have no case to answer—Get off the grass Greenwood you corporatist shill. Woolies and Coles have been ripping of consumers and in particular suppliers for decade. Time for transparency - tell the truth.
@Jo-AnneFielding Says:
Every thing is SO over priced went to a store to buy bread $7.20 what the heck.
@nomyafiftyonefifty8081 Says:
Blah blah blah, all the excuses under the sun, I bet the farmers aren't getting increases.
@TonyTony-rd4rj Says:
The executives wages should be revoked.
@nomyafiftyonefifty8081 Says:
So don't worry it's all OK because our increases are lower than other countries.🙄
@kiqueenbees Says:

Woolworths certainly wasn’t paying the farmers correctly . I would also like to know why Woolworths have stopped providing receipts . Food is t more expensive over seas that’s a load of crap .

@nato4287 Says:
People like her make me sick. How many times does she say “cost of doing business is high in Australia for the Supermarkets”Well of course it is love, look at your salary.
@PejaObr Says:
Don’t worry people, what ever money gov gets from Supper markets for penalty. We will pay it back because markets will just raise their prices.
@privateAcc0unt Says:
Maybe if we halve our housing prices instead of mass immigration excessive green red and blue tape and energy gouging is bleeding the country dry crushing farmers extreme electricity fuel insurance regulatory cost and combined with almost the expensive housing cost in the world cost squeezing the prosperity out of Australia. To hear this woman say maybe we cant afford manufacturing when Australia was once near totally self sufficient in every aspect a manufacture powerhouse and a significant exporter shows how much government policy has destroyed the lucky country almost seems be design.
@Poorlineforeva Says:
Oh, poor babies. Let's have a minutes silence.
@dootdoot1867 Says:
Everyone forget economy 101? More regulation? Less competition can play the game. Less competition, less supply, which equals higher costs and further monopolizing. Government should be focused on reducing input costs, not raising them.

More and more foreign products in supermarkets rather than Aussie products. Alot of Aussie favourite's are gone. The price gouging has been going on since the 80s. Its gotten disgustingly worse and i don't have one ounce of pity for Woolies and Coles. Still making huge profits .
@bretloyd8097 Says:
Calling bullllllllllshiiiiiiiiiiiiit, Coles and Woolworths particularly, are making plenty
@pwillis1589 Says:
Inflation is under 3% and underlying inflation is coming down as well. This is just a RWNJ talking point.
@sticks2478 Says:
Gotta love how clearly these channels show their biased reporting. Not even a sniff of the big story in the country today as their financial backers don't want it. What you thought these guys did actually reporting 😂😂😂😂.. at least these sell outs believe in free speech and leave the comments open, unlike the traitorous racists at the ABC
@dave24-73 Says:
What a load of BS How anyone can defend the supermarkets when they are making record profits is beyond me. We really need a regulatory body that sits between the wholesale and retail to ensure fair pricing, as clearly the supermarkets aren’t interested in anything other than profit. What people need to understand is food isn’t a luxury (although a box of chocolates might be), but a necessity.
@TheNewGuy-y6w Says:
