NSW vaccination program has been the 'best in the world': Dominic Perrottet
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has thanked the NSW Health team for leading a vaccination program which has been the 'best in the world' during a media conference about the importance of booster shots going forward. 'Already our booster program, there's around 90,000 eligible people across the state and the first week, just last week, 17,000 booster shots occurred here in our state,' Mr Perrottet said on Sunday. 'This journey is not over, but the success in our state is a testament to our people who have made such a great effort to go out there and get vaccinated. 'We now move to the booster program. If it's been six months since you've been vaccinated, we'll have centres set up, obviously Homebush, here in Granville and ultimately through GPs and pharmacies as we move forward. 'I really want to thank everyone across the state, but particularly our health teams. 'Every single member of the NSW Health team who have led probably the biggest vaccination campaign in the nation, but in terms of our success, the best in the world.'
