REA Group Economist Angus Moore says this weekend is set to be a busy one for auctions, particularly as winter is often a quieter time for the property market.
'Winter is typically quieter, and we are certainly seeing volumes down compared to earlier in the year � but for a winter weekend this does look set to be quite busy,' he told Sky News Business Reporter Edward Boyd.
'We had a very busy start to the year and we're kind of seeing that momentum continue through into winter.'
He said more broadly conditions have slowed as buyer demand has reduced.
'It's taking a bit longer to sell a house than it was earlier in the year," he said.
'We're starting to see prices decline.'
