Entangled whale successfully released from shark nets on the Gold Coast

????

A rescue operation has ended successfully on the Gold Coast for a whale caught in shark nets off Kirra Beach. Queensland fisheries say the humpback was calm and breathing normally throughout the rescue. Crews from nearby Seaworld responded to the scene. The recent rise in entanglements is reigniting debate about the need for shark nets in Queensland waters.

Remember a few months ago when that guy got eaten by a shark in Sydney, and everyone on social media and the MSM was squealing "where were the shark nets?!" And then a few whales get caught, and released without harm, and now everyone on social media and the MSM wants to ban shark nets. This country has the long term memory of a mentally handicapped goldfish banging its head on the glass.

Klaus: "You will need more shark nets by the time I'm done with the reset. IF, I allow you to fish, that is. Mwahahaha!"

Doesn’t that whale know it’s a shark net? If he’s that stupid he deserves it.

Why are there shark nets?

Ironic that Sea World would come to the aid. Maybe they thought some babies they could steal got tangled too?

A shame to waste all that whale oil.

Good for the whale, but that explains why my shark fin is late. If you don't know people use it for the penis

The use of shark nets should be banned, at least during whale migration seasons. Killing actual whales because of the irrational fear of sharks is ridiculous, not to mention the damage to the ecosystem when you murder the apex predator. It’s not brain science.
