Some 'justification' for Morrison's actions but Australians should've been told
Plagued co-author Geoff Chambers says there was 'probably some justification' for former prime minister Scott Morrison taking on additional portfolios during the pandemic but he probably should've told the Australian people. He also said Mr Morrison probably should have told his colleagues about the five additional appointments, with the former prime minister 'very apologetic' about the secrecy behind the decision. 'There was a press conference, I think it was around March 18, where he came close to revealing that he had been sworn in as joint health minister,' he told Sky News Australia. 'But even in that press conference, he didn't go as far as saying, 'I am being sworn in as joint minister and these are the reasons why'.'
