Shadow Assistant Treasurer Stuart Robert says former prime minister Scott Morrison's decision to keep his additional portfolios a secret was 'unwise'.
He said a minister should 'always' inform the parliament of any changes to ministerial arrangements.
'Scott's not trying to hide anything, he's trying to explain what he did and why,' he told Sky News Australia.
'And we can sit back afterwards and say perhaps that wasn't wise, the existing arrangements would have been sufficient.
'We can sit back to say we should always be transparent, it's the best disinfectant, but these were extraordinary times.'
