First Peoples' Assembly of Victoria Co-Chair Marcus Stewart says the passing of legislation to oversee treaty negotiations for First Nations people is 'historic' and 'significant'.
'First Nations voice on First Nations issues is critically important," Mr Stewart told Sky News Australia.
'It's a true step on the pathway to reconciliation, and what a proud moment it is to be a Victorian."
