Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced young children aged between five and 12 will qualify for COVID-19 vaccinations from today.
Ms Palaszczuk also said the state's hospitals are coping despite a sharp increase in the number of COVID cases.
It comes after 784 new infections were reported in the state on Monday.
