Sydney hospital reveals additional 995 people may have received incorrect test results
A Sydney hospital has revealed another 995 people have potentially received incorrect test results just a day after 400 infected people were told they had negative results. Pathology service SydPath, run by St Vincent's Hospital, confirmed the extra people were prematurely sent an SMS advising them tehri test was negative when their result had not yet been determined. All people have been contacted and advised of the error and should receive their accurate result tonight. The lab has blamed human error caused by high testing volumes for the bungle.
